How can I support you?

If you’re currently expecting a baby you might feel like you are teetering on the edge of the biggest portal of your life, about to unravel into a new identity and finally meet your baby.

Even if this isn’t your first birth, your world will still be transformed anew, with the process of growing, birthing and caring for a baby inviting you into complete surrender and trust in the physiological, spiritual and emotional process about to unfold.

Your birth plan might be written, but what about your postpartum plan?

Before your baby arrives I will support you to identify your unique needs and create a postpartum plan to help keep those first few weeks as free from stress and overwhelm as possible.

Once your baby is here, I’ll be there to support you in your home in whatever capacity is needed, giving you more space to focus on healing, resting and bonding with your baby.

Whether you need help:

stocking up your fridge and freezer with nourishing meals and snacks to optimise your energy and healing post-birth

growing your community and gaining the confidence to understand your needs and ask for help from those around you

navigating the dynamic relationship changes that bringing a second / third / fourth baby entails

building your confidence in getting to know your baby, mastering breastfeeding, baby wearing or reading your baby’s cues

or simply are just hoping for an extra pair of hands to help around the house

My support is guided by my five principles of postpartum care:

Rest

Nourishment

Retreat

Warmth

Companionship

What might a typical visit look like?

A visit will always begin with a check in. This is a chance for me to understand how things have been since my last visit, how sleep has been, how feeding is going, what challenges have arisen and what you might need from me during the session.

You’ll then be served a nourishing meal and herbal infusion and I’ll get to work supporting you in any way that’s needed, whether folding laundry and light housework, wearing baby so that you can rest or shower or preparing you a vaginal / pelvic steam or sitz bath.

Depending on which food package is chosen, I may then leave a delicious lunch and additional meals and snacks for the coming days.

I can also point you towards any other resources and services that might be needed such as bodywork, pelvic floor physiotherapy, counselling, birth debriefing and lactation support.

We are so grateful for your support, holding us so gently through the first week as a family of four. Bringing so much light and ease into our home, filling our tummies with warmth and nourishment
— Meg, mother of two

Where do we begin?

We start with a free 30 minute phone consultation to discuss what you’re looking for, how I might support you and see if we think we’re a good fit.

We’ll then have one prenatal session lasting two hours where we’ll discuss needs/expectations and create your postpartum plan.

Your support will then be completely tailored to your needs and you’ll choose a package to suit your budget.

If you’re looking to be nourished with additional meals and snacks, you can add on food bundles for an extra cost. Visit the nourishment page to find out more.
